Why does Trend Micro send telemetry to data mining firms?

I usually run Trend Micro but decided to watch back end traffic coming from the core system files of Trend Micro. I found Trend Micro is sending constant telemetry to marketing and/or datamining firms.
Examining the data it appears they send system activity and websites visited to a couple different firms including Scorecardresearch. If I block these domains/IP addresses Trend Micro functions normally with no apparent issues. However they seem to change up where the data is sent...

Trend Micro - Question about virus definition updates
I'm a new Trend Micro -User and i don't understand the info about the virus definition updates.
I get the info in the main screen that the program is up to date. But if i take a look at the components, i see
that the single components have another date...at the moment 2 days before.

Hello! I am trying Trend Micro and I can safely say that I have fallen in love with it. I have purchased a 1-year subscription for three devices. Does anyone in Trend Micro is responsible for the updates of TrendMicro patterns at Virus Total? As a developer, I'm constantly receiving False Positives ONLY for TrendMicro antiviruses at VirusTotal. Here is the last report .
I submitted the file for analysis at the 'False Detection/Re-Classify Requests' page, but did not receive any reply from Trend Micro...

i have lately tried Trendmicro Internet Security and it is running smooth on my PC and provides really great protection
I wonder why does Trendmicro has a small number of home users compared to Kaspersky,Bitdefender ,Eset and etc
Even here in malwaretips i haven't seen that someone suggest Trendmicro so far and almost all advanced users, prefer kaspersky,emsisoft and other AVs.
When it comes to enterprise protection, many companies use Trendmicro and they have good market share

Trendmicro is a very decent product.
I have been testing out Trend Micro maximum security because a friend of mine gave me a free key. The key lasts until 2029 so I’ll be protected for awhile lol. They also have a very decent BB.
